Value of JMU
James Madison University is the college I attend currently as a sophomore majoring in SMAD. Above is link to an article on JMU's website announcing the university's ranking from USAToday.com as one of the top 50 best value schools in the nation.
Winter Hill Farm
Winter Hill Farm is where I enjoy one of my favorite hobbies: horseback riding. I have been riding for thirteen years, but have only started riding at Winter Hill for three months. Here is a link to a page on the farm's website giving a quick biography of my trainers Tony Workman and Tom Brennan.

Idols

Margie Engle
Ever since I first saw Margie Engle ride at the Washington International Horse at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. when I was thirteen years-old, she has been an idol of mine. She has a unique way of being able to consistently ride many different horses to championships at any level. Margie has won many world and national titles, including multiple Olympic gold medals. The link above is to an interview she did with The Chronicle of the Horse magazine that gives a good overview of exactly the kind of talented rider she is.
Taylor Swift tour dates
Taylor Swift is not only one of my favorite musicians, but she is my idol also. I am so excited for her North American tour, especially for her show I got tickets to happening this August in D.C. Her tours this year have sold out so record-breakingly fast that she has announced adding additional dates!

Organizations

Tri Delta 15 in 5
Tri Delta is a sorority I am passionately involved with at JMU. I enjoy working with Tri Delta's philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Four years ago, Tri Delta nationally pledged to raise ten million dollars in ten years. However, all the chapters across the nation acheived this goal in only four! Our new goal is to raise fifteen million dollars in five years. It will be a challenge, but we are well on our way: last year, our JMU Gamma Tau chapter alone raised nearly $50,000!
Operation Smile
Operation Smile is a world-wide charity organization that is dedicated to serving children with a severe cleft conditions. It is run by medical volunteers who perform necessary surgical procedures for children and their families who do not have the ability to pay. Operation Smile has saved over 160,000 little boys and girls around the world since 1982! Click on the link above to learn more about the organization and how you can get involved!

My Picks

Flickr Portfolio
In addition to horse back riding and playing Taylor Swift songs on repeat constantly, I love photogrphy. Above is a link to my Flickr account featuring a few of my favorite photos
Lawler Watkins
Above is a link to the website of one of my best friends, and role model, Lawler Watkins. Lawler and I met on the horse show circuit years ago as friendly competitors, but really got to know each other more when we got to JMU where we are both SMAD majors. Lawler is my ultimate role model because not only is she a graceful, talented equestrian, but she is an amazing artist, leader, entreprenur, and admirable free-spirit.

Top Five Currently Most Played Songs on My iPod:

  2. "Pyro" by Kings of Leon
  3. "Let Me Down Easy" by Billy Currington
