JMU Dukettes

The Dukettes is the Official Dance Team of James Madison University. The team performs at home football games during pre-game, halftime, and post-game, home basketball games,events around Harrisonburg such as the holiday parade, and the NDA (National Dance Alliance) Collegiate National Competition. Any dancer interested in joining Dukettes must audition in the spring before their freshman year. They must attend the summer practices and be willing to commit to the time commitment, practice almost everyday, sometimes on the weekends, for almost 2 hours a day. The style of dance the Dukettes concentrate on are pom, jazz, and hip-hop. We all have a passion for the art of dance, performing, and sharing our talent with the university.
